Background: I was born in Portland, Oregon, studied at the University of Oregon, UC Berkeley and the San Francisco Art Institute.  I’ve worked as an architectural designer, a textile artist  and have taught writing for years at UC Santa Cruz.

Work Accomplishments: I’ve published numerous children’s books,  magazine and newspaper articles, and created a fair number of paintings.  Take a look, come back and visit often. More coming soon...

My greatest personal achievements (and I can’t take full credit) are my three children, Noah, Emily and Joshua, who are all grown up now and who turned out better than I could ever have expected or dreamed.
